Terms & Conditions – Freediving Ibiza

1. Booking & Payment

  • To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the activity, either via bank transfer, payment link, or in cash.

  • Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been received.

  • You will receive a confirmation email once your booking is complete.

  • All prices listed are exclusive of VAT (IVA), which will be added where applicable.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations by the client must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp).

  • For cancellations:

    • More than 7 days before the course or excursion: You may reschedule your booking (subject to availability). The deposit remains non-refundable.

    • Between 3 and 7 days before the activity: 50% of the total fee (excluding deposit) is refundable, or you may reschedule once without additional charge.

    • Less than 72 hours before the activity: No refund. Rescheduling only possible with a valid medical certificate.

  • No-shows are non-refundable.

  • If you arrive late and miss the briefing or boat departure, the session is forfeited and non-refundable.

3. Cancellations by Freediving Ibiza

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an activity due to:

    • Unsafe weather or sea conditions

    • Instructor illness or emergencies

    • Minimum participant numbers not being met

  • In case of weather-related cancellations, we will always do our best to find a new suitable date for you to reschedule at no extra cost.

  • If rescheduling is not possible, you may choose a refund of all payments made except the deposit.

4. Participant Requirements

  • All participants must be able to swim and feel comfortable in open water.

  • You must complete a medical questionnaire before participating. If you answer “yes” to any of the health conditions listed, a doctor’s approval may be required.

  • Participants must be at least 16 years old (under 18s need parental consent).

  • Freediving involves physical and psychological challenges. By booking, you confirm that you understand and accept the inherent risks involved.

  • You agree to follow all safety instructions and not to freedive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

5. Insurance & Liability

  • Diving insurance is included for all certified courses.

  • For training sessions and excursions, participants must provide their own freediving insurance (e.g., DAN Europe or similar).

  • Freediving Ibiza holds professional liability insurance.

  • Participants are responsible for their own travel and health insurance and must ensure their coverage includes freediving and water sports.

  • By participating in any activity, you acknowledge that freediving carries risks and agree that Freediving Ibiza and its instructors cannot be held liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage, except in the case of proven negligence.

6. Equipment

  • Equipment rental is available for an extra charge. Please request in advance if needed.

  • Any damages to equipment caused by negligence or misuse will be charged to the participant.

7. Media Consent

  • We may take photos or videos during the activity for promotional purposes.

  • Please let us know in advance if you do not wish to appear in any content.

8. Environmental Responsibility

  • We are committed to respectful and eco-friendly freediving practices. Participants are expected to treat marine life and nature with care and leave no trace.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ibiza.
